NorDig Accessibility Package ver. 1.0 (2024).
NorDig release the first NorDig Accessibility Package to support and inform about technical possibilities for development and distribution of best possible accessibilty services for the TV users with hearing and vision disabilities.
This NorDig Accessibility Package contains 4 documents:
- NorDig Accessibility Package description ver. 1.0 describes the intention and content of the NorDig Accessibility Package.
- Amendment to NorDig Unified Requirements specification ver. 3.2.1, ver. 1.0 including updates / recommendations and changes concerning accessibility services.
- NorDig IRD v3.2.1 supported Accessibility Services, ver. 1.0 giving an overview of the different type of accessibility services supported by NorDig specifications.
- Accessibility services based on HbbTV_NorDig recommendations, 1.0 with information about recommendations and implementation guidelines concerning accessibility services based on HbbTV.
Amendment to NorDig Unified Requirements specification ver. 3.2.1, ver. 1.0 including updates / recommendations and changes concerning accessibility services.
Since it is only minor changes and recommendations to the NorDig Unified Requirements vers. 3.2.1 this amendment is released and not an update of the specification.
Changes and updates included in this amendment to NorDig Unified Requirements is planned to be included in next version.
Please note that NorDig don’t release an amendment to NorDig Rules of Operation ver. 3.2.1 since there is no changes or updates planned for accessibility services.

NorDig is specifying a common platform for Digital Television to be used within the Nordic region (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden) and Ireland.
NorDig is an open specification free to use.
